Who, or what, is the Spirit? Can I interact with it? How does it affect my life?

In The Spirit and Me, Frank Braun demystifies the Spirit by examining its elements and exploring its role in human history, as well as its place in the modern world.

Frank also illuminates the relationship between the Holy Spirit and the human spirit. He theorizes that through grace an individual's spiritual growth can follow a path similar to the spiritual evolution of all humanity, and that an individual's human spirit performs the same functions for the soul that the Holy Spirit has performed for humanity since Creation.

My intention in compiling this lifetime of study, reasoning and intuition was to write a handbook on the spiritual formation of the human soul through the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

My ultimate hope is that the book will be a source of information and inspiration to those who read it; that it will lead to their spiritual growth; and that it will be the impetus for further theological inquiry and scientific research by others.


The book is written in four parts.

Part One
Reviewing the three persons of the Holy Trinity and the part each has played in human history.

Part Two
Studying the three faculties - mind, body, and spirit - which make up the living soul, and exploring the social orders and laws which direct humans in their journey of earthly life.

Part Three
Defining the fourteen gifts of the Holy Spirit and separating them into two groups: those which edify the mind, and those which are manifested from the spirit.

Part Four
Examining the inner workings of the mind and spirit with an emphasis on how the human spirit energizes and regulates the habits which form and influence human behavior.

Frank's theories, based on both science and theology, give a new understanding of the Holy Spirit, the human spirit and pneumatology. Anyone interested in the spiritual aspect of their life will find The Spirit and Me both enlightening and challenging.
